Morningstar Adviser Workstation features dozens of professionally designed reports. But your favourite report might just be the one you design yourself. With Report Studio, you can easily create your own custom reports, either as one-off reports for an individual client or report templates for use with your entire practice. In addition to specifying the components of each custom report, Report Studio allows you to incorporate your firm’s logo, custom disclosure information, corporate colour palette, and fonts to create materials that fully align with your firm’s identity and branding.

Example Template

You can start with one of Morningstar’s pre-built templates or build a new report from scratch. Report creation couldn’t be simpler—a “drag and drop” interface makes it easy to select and position the elements on the report page and you can specify a portrait or landscape layout. Colourful and informative charts can be previewed by rolling over the icons at the bottom of the report building screen. To select a chart, just drag the icon onto the page. All elements within Report Studio automatically resize to fit the available space and page components immediately populate with current data every time you open the template. You can also edit chart titles, time periods, benchmarks, and more. Report Studio even provides the option to present data in the currency of your choice.

In addition to graphic elements, you can also add data tables to highlight risk, return, investment style, and more. Whether you use a pre-built Morningstar data table or create your own from among hundreds of different data points available, the report will reflect only the information you want to convey to your clients and prospects. In addition to creating custom reports for clients, you can also use Report Studio to build high quality presentations. All reports and report elements can be saved as Adobe® PDF documents or Microsoft® PowerPoint® files.
